Hehe...
I know I've not posted at all for the past 2/3 weeks..
Been busy with assignments and all...
Oh well...It's time to continue blogging...
:D
Anywayz, as you can see...I'm now at this period where I'm missing my friends back in Malaysia...Loads of them!
I miss the mamak sessions...
I miss the late-nite/late-afternoon/post-class/early-morning movies...
I miss the cybercafe sessions where we'll just thrash anyone and everyone(most of the time ourselves getting thrashed...but nice to exaggerate things a lil')...
But most importantly of all...I miss the camaraderie...
Hehe...Forgive me for being all sentimental but it's what I'm feeling right now.
Life over here hasn't exactly been all legendary...
Issues here and there..but I suppose it's normal...It's part of a journey that everyone must go through at some point in their life...I'm going through mine now and hopefully by the end of it..I would have learnt a lot and cherished the experience.
Being in a foreign country isn't exactly easy, even one such as Australia. While it is easy to say that Australia has a lot of Asians, we also fail to realise that at the end of the day, the culture is very much different. No doubt you see similarities here and there as to how people live their lives in different countries, but their mentality is pretty much different from what I can see.
Most of the time, it's not what one would think it to be. Being friendly with people is one thing. Getting to know them, is another different thing entirely. It takes some getting used to when you realise they are there as part of your experience in life and nothing more. Not as friends or anything more. As much as one can be friendly to others, there are just some borders that can never be passed or broken. It really opens your eyes to the world and if you pay close attention, you will see that the world hasn't really changed much at all when you take a step back and assess what's really going on.
Technology may have moved people to be connected globally, but at what cost? Most, if not all, of the happenings in society from 50 years ago still exist and is going on today. I'm being vague here, no doubt, but if you really do stop to think. Have we really moved on in terms of being modern? Or is modernity just a word?
Bah, I'm just blabbing on and on. I don't know half of what I'm talking about.
Key point : I miss my friends. And whatever I wrote of the above falls short of that category.
